How to Play Singapore Sweep: A Simple Guide for Beginners
Singapore sweep is a seven-digit lottery game offered by Singapore pools. Each participant has to choose a seven-digit number between 1000000 to 4499999.
There are 3.5 million tickets with different digit combinations on sale for each draw. This leaves all participants with the same odds of picking winning tickets.
Playing Singapore Sweep is slightly different from 4D and TOTO because the draws only happen once a week, which makes it more exciting. And, you have plenty of time to buy tickets.
How to Bet
Singapore Sweep tickets can be purchased over the counter or through a 4D lottery ticket.
At Singapore pools outlets, participants can place their bets in four different ways. Just let the staff know which one you'd prefer.
- Quick Pick
With Quick Pick, the system randomly generates all the 7-digit numbers for you at the outlet.
- 100 Numbers
Participants in this game purchase a set of 100 numbers that are in a running sequence(pre-set order). The last two digits for this type of game fall between 00-99 and are designated by the letters “RR,” for example, 34521300-34521399.
All the designated numbers will appear on one ticket slip.
- First Digit
For this type of game, the participant chooses the first digit out of the seven, and the system generates the rest.
- Last 4 Digits.
The participant can select the last 4 digits out of the 7, and the system generates the rest.
Note: You cannot choose both the first digit and the last 4 digits.
On a 4D ticket, select your 4 digits and mark that you are playing Singapore Sweep.
You will receive a ticket for your 4D bet and your Singapore sweep bet at the point of submission to the person at the counter. Unless you are playing a quick pick game, ensure that the numbers reflected on your ticket are the numbers you chose.
The Singapore sweep tickets go for $3 each and are on sale till 6:00 PM SG time on draw day.
You can view the results of the draw from any Singapore Pools outlet. Alternatively, you can access them on the Singapore Pools website.
Draws for the Singapore Sweep also happen on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM. 133 sets of winning 7 digit numbers are drawn each time, plus only 9 two-digit winning numbers. The winning two digits refer to the last 2 digits in the 7-digit number.
A 7-digit draw.
If the number displayed on your ticket matches one or more of the 133 winning 7 digit numbers drawn, you win a cash prize. The minimum of cash at this level is $1,000, and the maximum amount is $2.3 million.
If the last two-digit numbers on your ticket match any of the numbers drawn, you win a $6 cash prize.
The prizes are paid off on the very day of the draw. To receive your prize, you must present your ticket at a Singapore Pools outlet. Your ticket must be in perfect condition without any form of alterations or damage.
How you Win Singapore Sweeps.
You have 1 out of 11 chances of winning a prize in a Singapore Sweep game but a 1/3.5 million chance of winning the first prize ($2.3 million). If your ticket qualifies for more than one prize, you are eligible for all prizes associated with the winning number in the Sweep results. But, this is quite rare.
Luckily, there are about 6 levels on the Singapore Sweep prize structure that you can hope to win from. Nonetheless, the winning chances are still incredibly low. So, ensure to bet responsibly and know when to stop.
