An Introduction to Sportsbet.io
Sportsbet.io was founded back in 2016 and focuses on three main principles: fun, fast, and fair. They have brought online gambling into the modern era with a sleek, blisteringly fast, and responsive website that is miles better to use than the online casinos of old. Everything is clear and intuitive, making it easy to quickly find the games you want to play or matches to bet on.
This online casino uses the Bitcoin Gaming Platform and is the official betting partner of BitCasino.io, ensuring that they can offer the perfect gaming experience for players in Singapore and around the world. Bettors can download their mobile app and enjoy the same experience their website offers on the go, anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
Beyond that, they’ve partnered with various teams around the world in an effort to support their main passion— competitive sports. Currently, Sportsbet.io is partnered with São Paulo Futebol Clube, Arsenal FC, and Southampton FC. In the past, they’ve worked closely with Brazilian football club Flamengo, Watford FC, and Rosario Central. In 2019, they were the principal sponsor of the CONIFA 2019 European Football Cup.
Licensing and Security
Sportsbet.io states on their website that they are licensed and regulated by the Government of Curaçao under the gaming license 1668/JAZ. Many online casinos that offer their services to Singaporeans and the rest of South East Asia hold licenses from the Government of Curaçao, so there are no surprises here.
The games that they offer on their site are from OneTouch, which claims that they are provably fair and use Random Number Generators (RNG) to determine every outcome. OneTouch has a license from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) listed on their site. MGA is a very reputable licensing agency that works with hundreds of online casinos and providers around the globe.
Game Selections
While their name might imply that they only offer sports betting, Sportsbet.io actually has a decent variety of live and virtual casino games. They have more providers than some other casinos we’ve reviewed. They have premium software providers like Asia Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Betsoft, and Spadegaming. That said, their sportsbook is definitely top-notch if that’s what you’re looking for.
Virtual and Live Casino Games
If you love live dealers, you’re in luck. Click the Live Casino tab along the left side of the screen, and you’ll be greeted with all the different live casino table games that Sportsbet.io has to offer. If you’re a high roller, you might want to head over to the Bombay Club instead, where the betting limits are much higher than usual.
If you’re looking for a particular table game, you can further narrow down the number of tables by selecting different games on the same left-hand menu. The games listed will be both virtual tables and live dealer tables, so be sure to check which one is which before hopping into the lobby. All-in-all, there are 8 different live dealer software providers and several more virtual table providers.

Sports Betting
Sportsbet.io does a lot of things right, and you might have guessed that one of those things is sports betting. There aren’t multiple sportsbooks to switch back and forth between, looking for a match to bet on. Instead, Sportsbet.io offers one centralized sportsbook on their home page that has just about everything you would need.
In the left-hand menu, you’ll find four categories: Inplay, Upcoming, Esports, and Virtual Sports. Inplay allows you to see and bet on sports happening right at this very moment. Upcoming lets you see the upcoming matches and bet on them before they’re here. Esports is for betting on different video game matches and tournaments. Lastly, Virtual Sports are for betting on randomly generated matches in a virtual environment.
If you’d rather search for a match by a particular sport, you can do that right on the sportsbook homepage. Along the top of the sportsbook, they list every single sport you can possibly bet on. The matches below feature easy-to-read odds, markets, and payouts. You can also clearly see your bet slip and how much you stand to gain— should you bet right.
There’s definitely a healthy amount of matches in every possible sport. The Esports category especially had a wide coverage of different video games and tournaments, which is nice for players that enjoy that sort of thing.
Bonuses and Promotions
We won’t lie; the bonuses and promotions at Sportsbet.io could definitely be better. They don’t even have a Welcome Bonus for new players. The majority of them are focused on sports betting, which is fine, but it neglects players on their site specifically interested in casino games.
Bonus / Promo | Description |
---|---|
40K NBA Playoffs Leaderboard | Winning bets on NBA playoff games will earn you points. Each week, the 50 bettors with the most points will receive a reward in crypto. The top 10 will receive anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 USD-T. |
Game of the Week | Wager 200 USD-T on any slot game and get 50 0.2 USD-T free spins on the game of the week. |
EPL Fantasy League Prizes | Make your EPL fantasy team and win prizes in crypto ranging from 50 USD-T up to 5000 USD-T. |
VIP Program
The VIP program at Sportsbet.io is extremely exclusive, and they aren’t too specific with what it entails. From what we can see, you have to ask to be invited to it, or they may invite you themselves. They claim to offer a dedicated VIP manager, tailored rewards, weekly bonuses, the highest bet limits in the industry, birthday gifts, and priority support. Sounds decent enough if you plan to bet often with them.
Deposits
Sportsbet.io is a great place if you like to bet with cryptocurrencies, but otherwise is severely lacking in the deposits and withdrawals department. If you’d like to bet with them but don’t have crypto, they offer three different ways to purchase crypto and get your wallet funded. You can use Onramper to deposit funds with a credit or debit card or Blockfinex and Binance— two crypto exchanges.
Method | Accepted Options |
---|---|
Crypto | Tether, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance USD, Tron, Ripple, Binance Coin, Litecoin, Cardano, DOGE, The Open Network |
Bank Transfer | Most banks are accepted. There is also the Ezeebill Bank Transfer process. Contact customer support for more details. |
QR Pay | PIX is the only QR Pay method accepted. |
Withdrawals
As we mentioned before, they’re mainly a cryptocurrency online betting site. The only option available for us to withdraw with was Bitcoin, which is highly surprising since they accept payment in a variety of cryptocurrencies and payout promotions and bonuses in USD-T. We can’t help but be disappointed here.
Customer Support
Customer support at Sportsbet.io is handled pretty well. They only have two main methods for players to reach out to them: 24/7 Live Chat and Email. 24/7 Live Chat is an absolute must at any online casino, and we would strongly advise against playing at a casino without it unless they offer some other stellar features. While it would be nice to have more than two methods, the customer support agent we talked to was knowledgeable enough about Sportsbet.io and very helpful, allowing us to look past this point.
Mobile App
Sportsbet.io claims to have a mobile app for both iOS and Android, but only really has a mobile app for Android. The iOS app instructions are a simple bookmark to their mobile site, which isn’t a fully-fledged application. For Android, however, they have a downloadable APK that is fairly simple to install and get started with once you download it from their site. It’s definitely a plus if you have an Android device, but iOS bettors might want to look elsewhere.
How to Sign Up at Sportsbet.io
Signing up for an account at Sportsbet.io is extremely easy. There are two requirements, though; you must be 18 years of age or older and you must reside in a country where online gambling is legal and isn’t on their list of disallowed countries. If you fit both of these requirements, click the register button in the top right section of your screen and enter the following information:
- Username
- Date of Birth
- Country
- Valid Phone Number
- Password
Conclusion
In short, Sportsbet.io looks great at first. It’s got a ton of games, a flashy site, great customer support, and it supports cryptocurrency. There are a few downsides to it, however. For one thing, it doesn’t have a welcome bonus for new players, which is almost unheard of in the world of online gambling. On top of that, the bonuses and promotions they do offer in no way make up for not having a welcome bonus. The withdrawal and deposit methods also leave a lot to be desired.
While we were wowed with the games and design, you will have to consider if the crypto-only payments, no welcome bonus, and mediocre promos aren’t a big enough problem to make you take your bet elsewhere.
