More Than 1000 Roles up For Grabs in Marina Bay Sands Online Recruitment

Marina Bay Sands will hold a “Virtual Career Fair” from 6th December to 8th December via its new Virtual Meeting Space, the resort's promoter announced. The recently announced online platform will host “e-booths” for the different departments.
The Marina Bay Sands resort is run by Las Vegas Sands Corp, based in the United States, which also manages multiple venues globally.
Participants stand a chance to have live online chats with job recruiters in the virtual event. They will also be able to apply for any of the featured jobs online. The positions include security work, museum staff, casino and hotel operations, food and drink services, among others.
The Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Marina Bay Sands, Mr. Chan Yit Foon, stated in a press release that the COVID 19 pandemic had created new ways of recruitment and hiring, which the group hoped to explore. As such, the group finds it fitting to run the inaugural virtual recruitment event at such a time.
The move comes amid a string of government measures to curb the spread of Covid 19. The state's health minister, Ong Ye Kung, on Tuesday stated that the government would not enact any additional measures to reopen borders. At the same time, they continue to evaluate the new variant, Omicron.
Already, Singapore was working on the “Vaccinated Lane Initiative” to promote travel with Malaysia. They have also increased the testing of travellers and various frontline workers to mitigate risks of local transmission.
